Over 75,000 Brits in Portugal could face a frantic return to the UK this week as the government reviews whether to add the country again to the quarantine list. Virus cases in Portugal have steadily increased and now stand at 21.1 per 100,000 people. This places the country on the government’s watch list of places to decide whether they should be removed from the air bridge scheme.

Holidaymakers from Spain, Croatia, France and a series of other countries already have to isolate themselves for 14 days on return to the UK or face a £1000 fine.
