In this video I visited a hotel in the south of Portugal that advertised itself as LGBTQ+. However, I found it to be the total opposite. Not just a lack of guest and that is really not the fault of the hotel because I went out of season but, a total lack of gay culture. I went there with high expectations of feeling proud to be supporting a gay business and instead I found myself in a generic hotel that was indistinguishable from any other generic hotel. There was no pride colours, no gay pictures or art on the wall and basically not a sniff of gay culture anywhere.

At the end I felt cheated, disappointed and honestly ripped off. I contacted them for an interview for this video but was totally ignored and I doubt they would even care if I complained. I would never stay there again, I just feel like they are chasing the pink pound, dollar or euro but without putting in any of the effort.

Such a shame, they are missing out on a great opportunity to make some serious money and be the first gay hotel in their city, but they blow it.
