Lisbon is Portugal's capital city and a vibrant, historic, and picturesque city along the Tagus River. Known for its sunny weather, colorful architecture, and rich cultural heritage, Lisbon offers a perfect mix of old-world charm and modern vibrancy. This was my first time visiting Lisbon. I envisioned it to be much larger, but maybe it was the excursion places we visited. I did a ship-sponsored 5-hour excursion with a drop-off at the airport. From the airport, I took an Uber to my hotel. I spent the night in Lisbon and explored a little alone, close to my hotel, about 5 minutes from the Lisbon airport. I flew out to Madrid the following morning.

Of all the places to eat in Lisbon, I choose an Elvis Presley burger joint. It was good, and I decided to go because it was close to the hotel, and even with GPS, I still had no sense of direction. If my GPS tells me to go right, my brain tells me I should go left, so I go left and get lost. In Singapore, I took pictures as my breadcrumbs to get me back to the hotel before dark, and I did the same thing in Lisbon.

On the excursion, we visited Arrois, Santa Maria Maior, Praca da Figueira, Praca dos Restuuardores, Jardim da Praca do Imperio, Jardim da Praca do Imperio, Belem, Parque das Nacoes and many more places that I forget the correct spelling of them.

I managed to take images of my usual graffiti around the world! While exploring on my own, I asked a group of policemen if I could take their pictures; they told me they couldn’t have their faces in photographs but said I could take the back of their uniform. Well, that worked out perfectly for me, if you know what I mean. (ha, ha, ha) My wish is to have the opportunity to come back to Lisbon soon.
