The Portuguese government has condemned the UK's decision to exclude the country from its quarantine-free travel list.

The tourism industry in Portugal relies on 2.1 million British visitors each year, but the need to self-isolate for two weeks is likely to deter many.

Critics have pointed out that Spain made the list of countries exempt from quarantine rules despite lockdown having to be reimposed in Catalonia.
