YEAR 1: FULL-TIME TRAVEL COST BREAKDOWN ⤵️
➤ Total cost (for 2 people): $50,624
➤ Per person: $25,312
➤ Daily average (for 2 people): $139
➤ Daily average per person: $69
???????????????????????????????? ???????? ???????????????????????????????? ????
➤ Long-term rentals: $25,020 total ($12,510 pp)
➤ Dining: $9,501 total ($4,750 pp)
➤ Groceries: $6,588 total ($3,294 pp)
➤ Travel expenses: $4,348 total ($2,174 pp)
➤ Car things: $2,698 total ($1,349 pp)
➤ Hotels: $2,470 total ($1,235 pp)
In celebration of 3 years of full-time travel (in October), I’ve gathered ALL the data and thought it would be fun to finally share all these breakdowns
???? Our travel style is slow and all about balance - we’re not luxury travelers, but sometimes we splurge. We’re not budget travelers, but we’ve stayed in $11 home-stays. Managing your budget + having a good idea of your spending habits is crucial for long-term travel
????We didn’t do this to save money but turns out full-time travel is more affordable than just breathing the US. JK but rent/utilities alone were $4k/month when we lived in San Francisco
???? I’ve continued to see how far I can stretch our money. And that doesn’t always mean cutting costs - improving negotiations, partnering with brands I love, working with tourism boards/hosted hotel stays, etc are all tactics that will help make long-term travel more affordable
???? Do you like these? LMK if you’re Interested in monthly spending recaps too
❓Do you want to see unique experiences + their costs?
???? Coming soon: detailed breakdowns by country/location. I’ll share the cost of food, transportation, accommodations, groceries, etc. These sort of videos are VERY tedious and time consuming, and I want to to make them as valuable as possible
???? No need to share opinions on how I spend my money. You can spend your money however you’d like
???????????????????????????????????? ???????????????????????????????? ???????? ???????????????? ????????????????????????:

*Year 1 dates: 10/2020 - 10/2021*
I sold everything to travel the world with the goal of building a freedom-based lifestyle, owning my time, and helping others do the same.
