My trip to Diu! ????️????

Day 1:
We started our journey from Somnath to Gir National Park ???? on Wednesday, 27 March 2024, around 11:00 AM. However, since it was the park's maintenance day, we headed to Diu instead. We reached Hotel TGH around 16:00 Hrs. The property was great, and the staff was supportive. After resting, we watched the sunset from the cliff near Gangeshwar Mahadev Mandir (4 Shiva Linga’s under the sea temple. ????????????).

We then visited the INS Khukri Memorial, which was a proud moment for us. The place had a serene vibe and showcased the history of the Indian Navy. ⚓️ ????‍✈️ ????

While we were at Chakratirth Beach, below the INS Khukri Memorial, suddenly the lights went off for a while, and we witnessed the sky loaded with millions of stars. It was a glorious, unforgettable moment of our lives. We were very lucky to see this ????✨.

Day 2:
Early morning, we visited Diu Fort ♖ , a massive sea-facing, star-shaped fortress built by the Portuguese between 1535 and 1541. We then visited the Lighthouse, clicked some amazing photos, and headed to St. Paul's Church, known for its Baroque architecture and wood carvings. ⛪︎ ✞

Next, we visited the Naoda Caves ????, which was disappointing due to ongoing repair work, and we couldn't explore inside. We then headed to Nagoa Beach, a beautiful and less crowded beach, around 12:00 PM. After spending some time and enjoying coconut water, we began our journey home. ????️ ???????? ོ⋆☀︎????ᨒོ

Diu is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. I highly recommend you to visit this place at least once in your life.
