Furnas, located on São Miguel Island in the Azores, is a truly magical place! In this video, I show you the volcanic activity, and taste the volcanic mineral waters, in Furnas town. Then I visit the Terra Nosta Park. Here you can visit the botanical gardens, swim in a big mineral pool and soak in volcanic hot springs and thermal bath jacuzzi.
You can book your day tour to Furnas with visit to Terra Nostra Park hot springs and botanical garden here (ad):

The other tour, to visit the other thermal pools and hot springs, called Poça da Dona Beija, at night, also includes the traditional stew. It's a dinner, the dish is called "cozido," cooked inside the volcanic caldera. This evening tour to Furnas can be booked through the following link (ad):

If you like to stay in Furnas for a night, or some nights, scroll down a bit for the hotels there. I'll also include a link to find your best flight deal to the Azores.
I've visited the Poça da Dona Beija thermal pools on another day, and will compare the two different hot springs in Furnas, Poça da Dona Beija and Terra Nostra thermal bath, in the end. The main differences are that in Terra Nostra you have one bigger thermal bath where you can swim, and two little hot springs or volcanic jacuzzis. At Poça da Dona Beija, you have 5 different smaller baths, just to relax and chill, but not to go for a swim. Also, Terra Nostra comes with entrance to the botanical gardens, and the total price is €10,-. Poça da Dona Beija is open in the evenings too, the last entry is at 10 pm, or 22.00 hrs and customers have to leave the hot springs at 10.30 pm, or 22.30 hrs. The entrance fee is €8,- (updated infor for 2023)
