Last Friday after work, Carlos stumbled upon a huge street party here in Quarteira.

Neither of us knew that every year, at the end of May/ beginning of June, Quarteira has a festival dedicated to its long history of fishing.

A huge area by its old fishing docs and market gets converted into a dance floor/outdoor banquete, surrounded by food and drink stands.

The festival lasts for three days with the local community inviting visitors to join them in pulling huge nets from the beach.

At night however, they party… which is where Carlos joined in.

This was an unplanned video filmed off our phones so sorry for any quality issues.

However we thought this was a great way to start off party season here in Portugal
