They eat dinner late
Portuguese citizens like to eat dinner after 8 pm because they like to eat late at night. Even in hotels there dinner is served after 8 before the hotels are empty or closed
Desserts must contain egg yolks
With the Portuguese, it is difficult to find any dessert without egg yolk. In fact, egg whites are added to most of the food items, even in drinks, so it was too expensive for them to throw away the yolks, so they started using the yolks in desserts.
Do not eat on the go
Eating on the go may be common in the rest of Europe, but to the traditional Portuguese, it is a sign of rudeness. They consider eating to be a very sacred act and it is rude to see a foreigner eating while walking.
Banana peels
On the eve of Christmas, the Portuguese eat so many bananas that if a foreign tourist walks by, it is very likely that they will slip on a banana peel. Because the whole road is covered with peels
The state helps in naming children
In Portugal, the state publishes a list of baby names, including some names that are prohibited. If the given name of the parents exceeds the limit of the state, the state warns them, similarly, if the name is not given correctly according to the gender, the state also warns.
