Боа-Виста (по-португальски означает "хороший вид") - это похожий на пустыню остров, который принадлежит к островам Зеленого Мыса и это третий по величине остров архипелага Кабо-Верде, который омывается водам Северного Атлантического океана.

Остров Боа-Виста находится ближе к Африканскому континенту, чем все остальные острова Кабо-Верде, являясь самым восточным из всех островов. Die Insel Boa Vista liegt näher am afrikanischen Kontinent als jede andere kapverdische Insel und ist die östlichste aller Inseln. Die Entfernung zwischen Boa Vista und Senegal beträgt nur 450 km. Die Hauptstadt von Boavista, Sal Rei, liegt im nordwestlichen Teil der Insel. Boa Vista ist vor allem für seine Strände, Schildkröten und traditionelle Musik bekannt.
