Wondering where to go, what to do and what to see in Portugal? Welcome to my travel channel.
With my wife we did a motorbike road trip around Portugal. We started our Portugal road trip in the south of the country. Portugal algarve region is home to some of the best Portugal beaches. On our way along beautiful southern and western coastline towards north we visited forts and lighthouses and stoped at the most southwestern & most western points of continental Europe.

We spent couple of days in amazing Portugal capital Lisbon. Lisbon old town is simply beautiful and full of history. Lisbon also has the longest bridge in Europe. To get amazing skylines you can climb on top of Lisbon Jesus Statue.
Not far from Lisbon we were amazed by small town of Sintra Portugal. The town and its cultural landscape are part of Unesco World Heritage Sites. Above the town is astonishing and picturesque Sintra castle, officially named Park and National Palace of Pena. Next to it is another fort called Castle of the Moors. And not far from Sintra town is also The Regaleira Palace that is hiding amazing Quinta da Regaleira - two wells that resemble underground towers lined with stairs. And the best part is that Lisbon to Sintra is a perfect day trip as this places are only about 30 minutes apart.

We also visited beautiful city of Evora famous for its Roman Temple of Évora, but few kilometres out of the city is breathtaking ancient megalithic site Cromlech of the Almendres. This is one of the largest standing stones sites in Europe. Almendres Cromlech dates back over 6,000 years! But during our road trip we also stumbled upon others megalithic structures as there are plenty more all over the Portugal country.

On our way north towards Porto we stoped in the best Portuguese walled town of Obidos. This is truly charming and amazing place where you can wander around the streets for hours. We also stopped in famous pilgrimage site Fatima where three little shepherds children had apparitions of Mary. During sixth apparition about 50.000 people witness special miracle that has not been fully explained to this day.

We also spend few days in beautiful Porto city. Porto cathedral and old town are amazing historical sites. The entire city is unbelievably picturesque. By all means we did Porto winery tour and it was a great experience. We learned about Porto wine and did some very sweet wine tasting.

On the last stretch of our trip heading toward Spain, we also stopped in charming medieval village of Marvão. Our road trip of Portugal lasted for 10 days and we had an incredible experience.
