April 5th marked the next step in the Portuguese deconfinement plan. The restaurants, bars and coffee shops can now start serving again on their terraces. We headed out in our local Algarve town of Ferragudo to see what the atmosphere was like and enjoyed a nice meal by the beach.

Lockdown measures are only slowly being implemented, weekend hours for restaurants remain very limited (mandatory to close by 1PM on Saturday/Sunday and holidays) but there is hope for these kinds of businesses.
