Ponta da Piedade and the local Beaches are on our agenda for Lagos Day 2.
We are Hiking to the Point which includes walking along the many beaches and exploring the caves and tunnels. There are lots of rock formations in the water on the trek to see as well.
Some of the hike brings us up onto the cliffs above....Without a boat, its the only option when the beach runs out.
Ponta da Piedade is a headland with a group of Rock formations along the coast of Lagos. These Huge Rocks sitting in the turquoise waters set against the golden cliff side....Perfectly Picturesque!
There are a variety of boat and Kayak tours but as budget travelers and hikers, walking was the perfect choice.
We walked down the 180 steps to the grotto below and it was so worth it, at least until we had to climb 180 steps back up haha.
A lot of people come out to the point as well to watch the sunset.
