This week on Life Reimagined we went on a mountain hike and sat down to talk you through the process of buying land in the Algarve, Portugal. We try to quickly run through all of the steps that we took as we've had a few messages from viewers. One slight clarification: I incorrectly stated that a PIP (pedido de informação prévia) is Promissory contract. The PIP is what in Portugal they call outline planning permission. So you can get planning permission if you aren't the legal owner of a piece of land, and once approved it's guaranteed for a year. We negotiated with the seller a promissory contract that was contingent on PIP approval. Sorry for the mistake, it was a long like and my brain wasn't working correctly!
