দেশটিতে নারী স্বাধীনতা বলতে কিছুই নেই। নারীদের ধর্ষনের হার এতো বেশি যে যা গননা করে শেষ করা যাবে নাহ। দেশটিতে নারীদের অবহেলা করা হয়। বলছি এশিয়ার দেশ আফগানিস্তান এর কথা। এছাড়াও আফগানিস্তানে শিশুদের যৌনদাস হিসেবেও ব্যবহার করার প্রচলন রয়েছে। ভারতীয় উপমহাদেশে যেমন জলসা হতো তেমনে দেশটিতে ছেলে শিশুদের দিয়েও এমন জলসা হয়।

এই দেশটিকে সারা পৃথিবীর মানুষ যুদ্ধবিধ্বস্ত দেশ হিসেবে বিবেচনা করে থাকে কারণ প্রায় গত কয়েক দশক ধরেই এই দেশটি বিভিন্ন সময়ে সোভিয়েত ইউনিয়ন এবং আমেরিকার সাথে যুদ্ধ করে আসছে।
