Everyone goes to Maspalomas but 50 km north, in the island's capital Las Palmas, there's a gay sauna most travelers never find. Sauna Portugal is the last original gay sauna on Gran Canaria. While every other gay sauna on the island has closed. Located one block from Las Canteras Beach, it's spread across two floors with a dry sauna, steam room, private and public cabins with closable glory holes, a sling, a video cinema area, massage, a bar, showers, and a mostly local Canarian crowd. I did a full solo tour to show you what it looks like inside — and why this place survived when all the others didn't.

Lower floor: dry sauna (Finnish), steam room (very dark), private cabins (closable with lock), public cabins, sling, glory holes (closable), large public mats, showers, urinals
